Georgia Project Board Meeting 01
On 13 October 2016 HERITAG partner GeoGraphic hosted the meeting of the Georgian partners, represented by the partner project managers.
Georgian partners decided to establish informal project board for enhanced cooperation and coordination of joint work by partner institutions under the HERITAG project.
Partners agreed to organise project board meetings on a quarterly bases, including ad hoc meetings whenever required. This was the project board meeting no. 01.
This first project board was invited to discuss project implementation issues in advance of the forthcoming full project partner meeting scheduled on 26-27 October 2016 in Valencia, Spain, planned back-to-back with two forthcoming training activities 4.2 (mobile web mapping for cultural heritage and tourism, 17-29 October 2016) and 4.3 (entrepreneurship in tourism, 01-05 November 2016).
Issues considered included the needs and the plans with establishment of the Project Advisory Board in Georgia, potential models for the creation of Geoinformation and Tourism Technology Center (GTTC), progress with training and other project activities, project webpage and intranet arrangements, who is who section of the webpage, evaluation criteria for monitoring the success with participation in the training activities by participants from Georgia, considerations with regard to the equipment procurement, other pertinent project management issues.
Four partner project managers (GTU, ISUE, GeoGraphic and NACHPG) participated in the Project Board Meeting 01. Two partners could not participate either in person or via Skype.
