Quality Assurance in Higher Education
HERiTAG project is pleased to report the completion of the 1 week additional training workshop no. 6.1 on 'Quality Assurance in Higher Education', hosted by the partner Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU), held on 25-28 September 2017 at BSU Faculty of Tourism in Batumi, Georgia.
The subjects covered by the training workshop included international quality assurance (QA) framework, European standards and guidelines, accreditation labels in practices and curricular development processes focusing on competences and learning outcomes in higher education (HE). Two practical sessions considered (i) defining the roles of QA in HE and (ii) requirements for programme accreditation from faculty and students perspective. Contents were delivered by academic and QA specialists from partners European universities UPV, KTH and UNIBO. Armenian and Georgian QA systems were reported by partners ASUE, NUACA, ISU, GTU and BSU.
