Training Workshop on Economics for Tourism Development

HERiTAG project is pleased to report the completion of the 2 weeks training no. 4.6 entitled 'Economics for Tourism Development', organised by UNIBO partner on 20-31 March 2017 at the Department of Economics and the Advanced School of Tourism Sciences, Rimini Campus, University of Bologna, Rimini, Italy.

This two weeks training was concerned with various subjects, such as creative industries and tourism, economics of tourism, cultural economics, big data in tourism, visit to DIRI Bologna, business model generation focused on tourism, value proposition and customer development, presentation on tourism pressures and site visits to Roman Ruins in Rimini and to Republic of San Marino, culture and tourism for local sustainable development, uncertainty and tourism, human resource management and organization of tourism enterprises, web reputation and performance measurement systems in the tourism industry, strategies in the tourism industry. The productive training was concluded with the informative visit to Ravenna.

A total of 14 participants attended the training from partners ASUE (2 participants), GSU (2), NUACA (2), and UITO (1) from Armenia and partners BSU (4), GTU (1), ISU (1) and NACHPG (1) from Georgia.

All training materials in English language, including lecturer presentations, participant presentations and others are available through project ftp. These materials will be used by participating partners from Armenia and Georgia to develop similar curricular packages for their institutions in the field of tourism economics.
