Erasmus+ HERITAG Project Partner Meeting 2

The 2nd meeting of the Erasmus+ HERITAG project partners was held on 27-28 October, 2016 in València, Spain, hosted at the IDEAS-UPV Institute and at the UPV School of Geodetic Engineering, Cartography and Surveying by the project coordinator Universitat Politècnica de València.

The meeting took place at the end of the training course “Mobile and Web mapping for cultural tourism”, and just before the workshop on “Entrepreneurship in tourism”, so several participants could also attend to the courses.

Georgia Project Board Meeting 01

On 13 October 2016 HERITAG partner GeoGraphic hosted the meeting of the Georgian partners, represented by the partner project managers.

Georgian partners decided to establish informal project board for enhanced cooperation and coordination of joint work by partner institutions under the HERITAG project.

Partners agreed to organise project board meetings on a quarterly bases, including ad hoc meetings whenever required. This was the project board meeting no. 01.

Training 4.2, Workshop 4.3 and Partner Meeting in València

UPV partner and project coordinator is pleased to announce and invite eligible partners to participate in HERITAG training 4.2 (mobile web mapping for CH tourism, 17-29 October 2016), training 4.3 (entrepreneurship in tourism, 01-05 November 2016) and project partner meeting (27-28 October 2016) planned at UPV, València, Spain.

Basic GIS for Economics and Tourism WEEK 2

GIS and RS Consulting Center GeoGraphic is pleased to report the completion of the WEEK 2 of the HERITAG training course entitled 'Basic GIS for Economics and Tourism'.

This course was designed for teaching staff of HERITAG partner universities, focused in economics and tourism, introducing the basic concepts of GIS with a practical focus, and aiming to learn how to develop geographic information systems for tourism and cultural heritage management and applications.

The course was organised by GeoGraphic, with collaboration of teachers from GTU, ISU and NACHPG.

Training in 3D Modelling and Laser Scanning

KTH partner completed the 2 weeks training under the HERITAG 'Intensive Course in Laser Scanning and 3D Modelling', held on May 16-27, 2016 at KTH, Stockholm, Sweden.

The course was focused on practical applications of laser scanning techniques and 3D modelling of objects and monuments for documentation and dissemination purposes. A total of 13 selected participants attended the course: 3 persons each from NUACA, GTU and ISU, and 1 from ASUE, GSU, GeoGraphic and NACHPG.

Erasmus+ CBHE HERITAG Project Start-up Meeting

The Start-up Meeting of the Erasmus+ CBHE Project HERITAG (Higher Education interdisciplinary Reform In Tourism management and Applied Geoinformation curricula) was held on 02-03 February, 2016 in Yerevan, Armenia, hosted at the National University of Architecture and Construction.

The HERITAG project aims to develop an interdisciplinary reform in higher education programmes at master level and continuing education integrating Geo-information Technologies (GIT) applied to cultural heritage documentation, tourism management and entrepreneurship.
